Bernd Metz
One after another paper planes sail into the frame. Where they come from remains unclear – the pilot is not visible in the video. With his light projectiles he aims for a target which seems to lie somewhere behind the wall. Whoever is sending the paper planes tries anew after each attempt to break the physical border. Showing an astonishing insistence he does not stop providing the flying objects with power. However, again and again, they hit the wall and fall to the ground. |

Bernd Metz (*1979 in Landau) has studied art education and anthropology/european ethnology in Frankfurt/Main and Barcelona. He works as an artist as well as a scholar and increasingly interdisciplinary between the fields. This shows itself his artistic-academic final thesis “Between Here and There” in which he interlinks anthropological analysis with artistic practice. www.bmetz.de
